Guidelines for using the Konnectam platform
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Konnectam’s website, mobile application, platform, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using Konnectam, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. About Konnectam
Konnectam Ltd (“Konnectam”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a platform that connects customers with independent artisans and service providers including, but not limited to:
- Electricians
- Plumbers
- Carpenters
- Painters
- Cleaners
- AC Technicians
- Other skilled service providers
Konnectam facilitates bookings, communication, and payments where applicable.
2. Eligibility
To use Konnectam, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate registration details
- Have legal capacity to enter agreements
3. Nature of the Platform
Konnectam is a technology platform.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Artisans are independent service providers, not employees of Konnectam
- Konnectam does not directly perform artisan work
- Konnectam facilitates connections, bookings, and related support services
4. User Accounts
You may need an account to access some features.
You agree to:
- Keep login credentials secure
- Provide accurate information
- Update information when necessary
- Accept responsibility for activities under your account
5. Booking Services
Customers may request artisan services through Konnectam.
By placing a request, you agree that:
- Service availability is subject to artisan acceptance
- Estimated arrival times are not guaranteed
- Final service outcome may depend on on-site conditions
6. Pricing & Payments
Prices may be:
- Quoted by artisans
- Estimated before service begins
Payments may be processed through third-party providers.
Konnectam may charge:
- Platform fees
- Convenience fees
- Commission fees from artisans
7.Wallets, Payments and Escrow
Konnectam provides users with wallet functionality, including virtual accounts, to facilitate funding, token purchases, bill payments, and other supported financial services available on the platform. These payment services are provided in partnership with licensed financial service providers.
Except where expressly stated, Konnectam does not operate a traditional escrow service. Funds credited to a user's wallet remain available for transactions initiated by that user in accordance with these Terms.
For service transactions between clients and artisans, Konnectam may facilitate the movement of funds through its platform or payment partners but is not responsible for guaranteeing the quality, completion, or outcome of any service unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where a payment dispute arises, Konnectam may, at its sole discretion and in accordance with its dispute resolution process, temporarily restrict or delay the release of certain platform-managed funds while the dispute is being reviewed.
Konnectam reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or reverse transactions where required by law, regulatory obligations, fraud prevention measures, or these Terms of Use.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
Customers may cancel requests subject to:
- Time of cancellation
- Whether artisan has already mobilized
- Costs already incurred
9. Artisan Responsibilities
Artisans using Konnectam agree to:
- Provide accurate identity and skill information
- Deliver services professionally
- Comply with applicable laws and safety standards
- Treat customers respectfully
- Avoid fraud, overcharging, or misconduct
10. Ratings & Reviews
Users may rate artisans and services.
You agree that reviews must be:
- Honest
- Respectful
- Non-defamatory
- Based on genuine experience
11. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- Use Konnectam for illegal purposes
- Harass others
- Impersonate any person
- Attempt fraud or payment scams
- Upload malware or harmful content
- Circumvent platform fees unfairly
- Misuse artisan/customer data
12. Intellectual Property
All Konnectam trademarks, logos, software, branding, and platform content remain our exclusive property unless otherwise stated.
13. Disputes Between Users
Konnectam may assist in resolving disputes between customers and artisans but is not obligated to guarantee outcomes.
14. Limitation of Responsibility & Disclaimer
Konnectam Limited provides a technology platform that connects users with independent artisans and service providers.
While Konnectam may implement verification, monitoring, safety, and trust measures, Konnectam does not employ, supervise, endorse, or guarantee the conduct, quality, reliability, legality, or suitability of any artisan or third-party service provider on the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Konnectam shall not be liable for:
- Acts, omissions, misconduct, or negligence of artisans or users
- Disputes arising between users and artisans
- Property damage, losses, delays, or inconveniences arising from engagements facilitated through the platform
- Unauthorized actions taken outside the platform
Users are responsible for exercising discretion and judgment when engaging artisans or service providers.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Konnectam Limited, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:
- Your use of the Konnectam platform or Services
- Your violation of this Privacy Policy or applicable laws
- Your interactions or disputes with artisans, customers, or third parties
- Any misconduct, negligence, omission, or unlawful activity connected to your use of the platform
16. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Breach these Terms
- Engage in fraud
- Receive multiple serious complaints
- Pose safety or security risks
- Violate applicable laws
17. Notifications & Communications
By using Konnectam, you agree to receive service-related communications including:
- Booking confirmations and updates
- Safety and security alerts
- Policy and terms updates
- Customer support messages
18. Third-Party Services
Konnectam may integrate with or link to third-party services including payment processors, mapping services, and communication tools.
19. Privacy
Your use of Konnectam is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email where appropriate.
21. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
22. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
